2020 schedule

Vegetables, Fruit and Flower Section

Well you could virtually grow anything and there would be a class for it.

Produce 2019

In Memory of Alby Dale

Potatoes, all sorts of beans, onions and eschalots, cabbage, carrots, peas and leeks, salad vegetables and tomatoes, not forgetting novices, who have not won first prizes before, who can try a selection of 3 home grown vegetables or fruit or a vegetable and a flower together - someone must be proud of something.  The novice section for children, this year is to grow a vase of annuals or a flower or vegetable grown in a recycled back pack.  Our new class continues this year with an insect house or bug hotel in situ - which will be viewed by the judges in the week prior to the Feast.

Planted Patio Container.jpg

In Memory of Celia Clarkson

Flowers range from annuals to dahlias, which are in memory of prize winning resident and councillor John Tubby,  sweet peas, pansies and fuschias, plus pots for the patio. The new class introduced is a flower pot person using recycled or traditional pots - again the judges will be round the week before to look and admire, but can be brought to the show if feasible.  All we need now is some sunshine and only a little bit of rain.

Flower Arranging

Hoping for a 'Heat Wave' this year, plus 'Lasting Beauty' using dried flowers and seed heads or an arrangement based on a book title -  for beginners a flower arrangement just using two colours (plus foliage so that's three)  Have a go, you might win!
